Bee is a native Chicagoan living in Los Angeles. After attending Columbia College Chicago in pursuit of a very necessary not at all useless degree in Fiction Writing, she completely switched gears to pursue fashion.
Always interested in awful tales; as a child she poured over Scary Stories to Tell In The Dark, never missed an episode of Are You Afraid of the Dark? and snuck to friends houses to watch classic horror movies into the wee hours of the morning. As an adult, Bee found herself fascinated with paranormal stories and true crime; particularly serial killers. A personality trait not at all worrisome to her mother.
With a nearly decade long career in bridal under her belt, Bee has had plenty of time standing in appointments to think about death and dying. However, it was in college when Bee realized paranormal activity liked to follow her specifically and she dove into it more deeply after an apartment ghost didn’t allow her to sleep in her own bed for over six months.
Nothing is more soothing to Bee than a slasher movie. Her true passion is all things awful.
ABOUT TANYA LEE
Tanya Lee’s passion for creativity is no surprise to those she grew up with in the suburbs of
Chicago and Montreal, QC. Her mother (an incredibly talented Artist who created the How Awful! logo) and her father (a professional athlete) ingrained in her the pursuit of a non-traditional career. She was taught that dreams are obtainable if you reach high enough.
After graduating with a Film/TV degree from Columbia College Chicago, Tanya Lee moved to Los Angeles,
CA to pursue a career in filmmaking. She was fortunate enough to work for some of the
most talented and inspiring storytellers, including Ron Howard and Brian Grazer at
Imagine Entertainment and continues to work in television on various productions.
Tanya Lee has always been incredibly passionate about telling awful stories that get your blood pumping, especially after having some personal paranormal experiences of her own...tune in to learn more!
Bee & Tanya Lee met at the tender age of 9 years old in the suburbs of Chicago when Bee’s family moved in next door. They bonded over Easter window clings, Backstreet Boys, and being the kind of kids that one would categorize as “outside the box”. Fast forward to 24 years later, they are still best friends living out in Los Angeles, CA pursuing their dreams of storytelling. This podcast is a culmination of their “charming” friendship and their interests in all things awful ranging from true crime, paranormal, celebrity deaths, lore, cults, and aliens. Bee hates aliens, Tanya Lee hates ghosts...so this should be interesting.
